Experience the III PEH Conference again

On May 23rd we were able to enjoy the 3rd edition of the Pediatric Environmental Health Conference, at the Olot hospital. Pediatricians, nurses, researchers were able to learn more about topics such as pollution in the community from industrial sources, the environmental approach to pediatric cancer, contact with nature and the opportunity it offers in clinical practice, or various school environmental health activities such as citizen science projects on radon or air pollution.
We were able to enjoy leading speakers from the national and international, with the participation of institutions such as the Center for Environmental, Food and Toxicological Technology (TecnATox) in Reus of the Rovira i Virgili University, the National Institute of Pediatrics of Mexico, the environmental health research group of the University of the Basque Country, the Pediatric Environmental Health Specialty Unit of the Region of Murcia, the IONHE - Ionising Radiation, Health and Environment research group of the Polytechnic University of Catalonia or the European coordinator CleanCities.

In the afternoon we achieved a historic milestone: bringing together pediatricians and nurses from all over the country at the 1st Meeting of the Network of Pediatric Environmental Health References of Catalonia, to discuss the present and future challenges of the Network and learn about healthcare projects, research and the new professional roles involved in pediatric environmental health.
